This fall the Weber State University football team will have to work particularly hard to win that coveted Big Sky Conference Championship.
On May 6, the NCAA implemented sanctions on the team for unsatisfactory academic progress. According to the NCAA, Weber State's academic progress report (APR) is at 853, which currently is in the bottom 10 percent of Division I football teams.

The U's Tyler Kepkay hopes to be traveling all over the world this July playing basketball for his native Canada. The Canadian national basketball team was announced Sunday, and Kepkay, after working his way through the training camp, was given a spot on the roster.

It's not everyday that a freshman athlete walks-on at Weber State University and wildly exceeds everyone's expectations. But for WSU sprinter Eric Bailey, exceeding expectations is something he's getting used to.
"It was the shock of the year," said WSU Men's Track and Field Head Coach Dan Walker.
